Over the last 3 years Mean Well power supplies USA has had made tremendous gains in the diversity of their offering of products for Industrial and Medical OEM power supply requirements. Over 50 new product families have been launched; a rate many times faster than any of their competitors! MeanWell has also teamed up with a power supply specialty distributor called PowerGate LLC which stocks their products in California and is market leader in technical support, product availability and low cost power supply solutions.
For General Purpose & Industrial requirements Mean Well has introduced 20 product families from 35 to 350 watts, in both open-frame/U-Channel as well as 6 product families from 320 to 1,500 watts that are fully enclosed with self contained fans for cooling. These products utilize high quality components along with the latest topologies for higher efficiencies, thus making them smaller and lighter than competitors along with higher MTBF ratings and a 3 year warranty. Most of these new products also are designed for higher-density / lower profile for 1U applications where the system must be less than 1.75 inches in height. All products meet European EMC 61000-3-2 and have international safety approvals to 60950-1 for UL, CSA and TUV as well as the CB Report.
Mean Well has chosen to strengthen their position in the medical electronics market for power requirements where UL/EN 60601 approvals are required. With 12 new product families being introduced ranging from 5 to 200 watts, they are now a market leader for medical approved power solutions.
In the Industrial Control/Electrical market sector, MeanWell has designed and introduced a strong offering of 15 separate product families in Din Rail power supplies that cover 20 to 960 watts. These products offer a multitude of safety approvals including UL508/UL60950 as well as Global safety approvals under TUV for EN 60950 requirements.
